Open Access Play Sessions
Ready, Steady, Go!
(please note these times may vary in school holidays)
At Robin Hood Chase Park, St Ann’s. See Google map link
Its just behind st Ann's Police station.
These are open access sessions, which means children are free to come and go as they please.
We have a duty of care to children who attend, but parents/carers remain responsible for your children at all times. All our playworkers have enhanced DBS (police) checks and at least one playworker per session is first aid trained.
Playing outdoors is great for children’s physical, social and emotional health. It also improves confidence, communication and life skills.
Here are just some of the things you can do…
- Make friends
- Take part in sports games
- Have a go at circus skills
- Get crafty and make everything from dinosaurs to adventure kits
- Join in the Playworks Obstacle Challenge
- Be part of a team
- Build a den
- Plus lots, lots more
These sessions are funded by Children in Need.
Free Family Play Sessions
Scrap Saturday Family Sessions are on the first Saturday of each month from 10am-12noon at PlayWorks.
These 2 hour sessions provide the perfect time for some family crafting with a theme each month to inspire your creativity. You will be using ScrapStore materials to build and make your creations at PlayWorks.
One parent said ‘We love the Saturday craft sessions – to have all the materials available and help on hand is brilliant. My daughter loves the freedom to create and my son has been with his carer and enjoyed it too!’
Previous Locations of Play Sessions
