Play Sessions
Open Access Play Sessions
Ready, Steady, Go! - funded by Children in Need
These are open access sessions, which means children are free to come and go as they please.
We have a duty of care to children who attend, but parents/carers remain responsible for your children at all times. All our playworkers have enhanced DBS (police) checks and at least one playworker per session is first aid trained.
Playing outdoors is great for children’s physical, social and emotional health. It also improves confidence, communication and life skills.
Here are just some of the things you can do…
- Make friends
- Take part in sports games
- Have a go at circus skills
- Get crafty and make everything from dinosaurs to adventure kits
- Join in the Playworks Obstacle Challenge
- Be part of a team
- Build a den and play in nature
- Plus lots, lots more ... Let us know your ideas!
Sessions run from 3.30pm to 5.30pm Tuesday and Thursday:
The sessions are closed for the Winter months, we are back in on Tuesday 19th and Thursday 21st February 2019!
Tuesday Sessions @ Queens Walk Recreation Ground, NG2 2DF
Thursdays Sessions @ Forest Recreation Ground
Free Family Play Sessions
Saturday sessions
Scrap Saturday family sessions are on the first Saturday of each month from 10am to 12noon at PlayWorks.
These two hour sessions provide the perfect time for some family crafting with a theme each month to inspire your creativity. You will be using ScrapStore materials to build and make your creations at PlayWorks.
One parent said ‘We love the Saturday craft sessions – to have all the materials available and help on hand is brilliant. My daughter loves the freedom to create and my son has been with his carer and enjoyed it too!’
