We offer great opportunities to volunteer. This can be to:
- gain experience in a play setting, before going to college or university
- expand your horizons or boost your CV
- give something back to your local community
- improve your own health and wellbeing
- drive one of our minibuses and help out with collecting children and/or outings (D1 licence entitlement required)
All volunteers are fully vetted, trained and supported.
As a local charity, we rely on volunteer Trustees to sit on our Board of Directors.
It is not an onerous role, as we have a great team of staff who do all the work!
There are 4 full Board meetings, quarterly in a year, so not too much of a time commitment either. It is an essential role, however, consisting of the usual governance functions: scrutinising finances & reporting; ensuring regulatory compliance; setting strategic direction; & monitoring progress.
